    • One of the clauses upon which the farming is contingent is that we have to buy a minimum of 45% of our stock directly from small hold farers (farmers owning under 2 acres of land).
  • Currently sourcing from 20,000+ farmers in 16 regions across 10 states in India.
  • SunnyBee sells fruits and vegetables through multiple distribution channels spanning small local shops, modern retail outlets, and HORECA (hotels, restaurants and catering establishments).
  • Specialize in supply chain and sourcing strength, where a large portion of our produce comes from farmers in and around the Chennai region.
  • We have our own brand called Origin Verified. These items are sourced directly from the farmers that produce them and sold exclusively in SunnyBee outlets. This includes Cold Pressed Coconut Oil from the same farms that sell us tender coconuts, Lychee Honey from the same farm that sells us Lychees, and four types of rice from farms that sell us other vegetables.
  • We are using best in class analytics and planning tools to decrease wastage and improve transportation efficiency between cities
  • Sanjay, “We started SunnyBee, or WayCool, in order to help structure the disorganized fresh produce supply chain. Currently, wastage levels are anywhere from 20-45% for fruits and vegetables, and the farmers at the start of the supply chain don’t get a fair compensation due to an overly complicated system between farm and fork. We aim to make it simpler, and offer direct connections between customers on the front end and the farmers on the back end. Not only does this give customers peace of mind due to source transparency, but this mainly helps farmers increase their income levels and their return on investment. We also hope to leverage an extremely strong IT backbone to help plan and forecast demand patterns and pass this information back to farmers for crop planning purposes. This should stabilize prices and drastically reduce wastage.”
  • Our goal is to work with farmers across India to:
    • Increase farmer income and return on investment
    • Decrease industry inefficiencies and transport wastage
    • Increase transparency in the industry so customers know exactly where their stock is coming from and how it’s being grown.
